Supporting shingle recycling in our community offers a straightforward and impactful way to contribute to environmental sustainability. Most products require complex, resource-intensive processes to recycle, but shingle recycling is much simpler, involving only two key steps: reducing the shingles to a smaller size and removing nails. Both of these processes occur seamlessly as the shingles are processed through a grinder. Furthermore, asphalt ranks as one of the most recycled materials in America, and asphalt shingle recycling has been successfully implemented across the country for decades. By adopting this practice, our community not only aligns with proven national efforts but also creates a useful product out of something previously considered waste.
